is Kiswahili an other swahili style??
I get that question a lot…I should write a post about it maybe…
Swahili is the name of the language in English. In Swahili, the language is called Kiswahili while English is ‘Kiingereza’.
The prefix ki- carries the idea of ‘in the manner of’. So Kiswahili is the language of the Swahilis or speaking in the manner of the Swahilis.
thanks
